1. About these terms

These terms apply when you buy from Paws of Oz at pawsofoz.com. By placing an order you agree to them.

If anything in these terms conflicts with a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), your right prevails. Nothing here is intended to exclude or restrict a consumer guarantee.

2. Ordering

2.1 Placing an order.

When you place an order you are making an offer to buy. The contract forms when we send you an order confirmation email.

2.2 We may decline an order.

We can decline or cancel an order if:

  • the item is out of stock or was listed at an incorrect price due to a system error
  • we cannot verify payment or delivery details
  • the order looks fraudulent

If we cancel, we refund you in full. If a pricing error is obvious and you reasonably should have recognised it, we may cancel and refund rather than honour it.

2.3 Your details.

You are responsible for giving us an accurate delivery address and a working email address. Please check the confirmation email. If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address, we will contact you — re-delivery costs may apply.

2.4 Accounts.

If you create an account, keep your password secure and tell us promptly if you think it has been used without your permission. You are responsible for orders placed through your account until you tell us.

3. Pricing and payment

3.1 Currency.

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where GST applies.

3.2 Pricing changes.

Prices and offers can change without notice. The price that applies to your order is the price shown when you check out.

3.3 Payment methods.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Afterpay. Afterpay is provided by Afterpay and is subject to their own terms and credit assessment.

3.4 Payment security.

Card details are handled by our payment providers over an encrypted connection. We do not store your full card number on our servers.

3.5 Failed or reversed payments.

If a payment fails, is reversed or is charged back, we may suspend or cancel the order and recover the goods or the amount owed.

4. Delivery

4.1 Where we deliver.

We deliver within Australia and Newsland.

4.2 Dispatch times.

Orders are generally dispatched within 2 business days of payment clearing. Dispatch time is not delivery time.

4.3 Delivery estimates.

Delivery estimates are indicative. They are not a guarantee and delays by the carrier are outside our control. Under the ACL, if we cannot deliver within a reasonable time you may cancel the order and receive a refund.

4.4 Shipping costs.

Shipping is free on orders over $59 AUD. Below that threshold, shipping is calculated at checkout based on 【Weight / Flat-rate Shipping / By Region】.

4.5 Risk and title.

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us. Title passes when we have received payment in full.

4.6 Delivery problems.

If tracking shows delivered but you have not received the parcel, contact us within 【7】 days. We will open a case with the carrier. Where a carrier confirms the parcel was left unsafely or lost, we will replace or refund.

4.7 Authority to leave.

If you ask for the parcel to be left without a signature, risk passes to you at the point it is left.

5. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

5.1 Consumer guarantees.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

5.2 What counts as a major failure.

In short, a major failure is where the goods:

  • are unsafe
  • are significantly different from the description, sample or demonstration model
  • do not do what we said they would do
  • do not do what you told us you needed them for
  • are substantially unfit for their normal purpose, or
  • have a defect that would have stopped you buying them if you had known about it

5.3 Nothing in these terms restricts those rights.

Where these terms and the ACL differ, the ACL applies.

6. Returns

6.1 Change of mind.

If you change your mind, you may return unused goods in their original packaging within 【30】 days of delivery. We will refund the purchase price.

Change-of-mind returns are offered by us as a courtesy. They are separate from — and do not limit — your rights under clause 5.

The following cannot be returned for change of mind:

  • items that have been used, worn, washed or fitted to a pet
  • items where hygiene or safety makes return inappropriate — for example, calming collars, cooling mats or grooming items that have been opened 【请按实际品类确认清单】
  • items marked as final sale or clearance at the time of purchase

6.2 Faulty or damaged goods.

If something arrives faulty, damaged or not as described:

  • Contact us within 【30】 days with your order number and a photo.
  • We will organise a replacement or a refund, and cover return postage where the item needs to come back.
  • For a major failure you may choose a refund or a replacement.

6.3 How to start a return.

Email 【[email protected]】 with your order number and what went wrong. Do not send anything back before contacting us — we may be able to resolve it without a return, and unauthorised returns can go missing.

6.4 Refund timing.

Refunds are made to the original payment method. Once we approve a refund, allow 【3–5】 business days for it to appear. Afterpay refunds follow Afterpay's own processing times.

7. Product information

7.1 Descriptions and photos.

We describe our products as accurately as we can, and we photograph what we actually sell. Colours can still render differently across screens, and slight variation between production batches is normal. If an item is materially different from its description, clause 6.2 applies.

7.2 Measurements.

Published dimensions and sizing charts are provided as a guide. Allow for minor variation. If you are between sizes, size up.

7.3 Availability.

Stock levels change. If an item you ordered sells out before dispatch, we will contact you and offer a substitute, a backorder or a full refund.

8. Pet safety — please read

Pet gear is only safe when it is the right size and used properly.

8.1 Fit.

A harness, collar or lead that is the wrong size can allow a pet to escape or can cause injury. Check the fit before first use, and re-check it as your pet grows or its coat changes. If a product does not fit, do not use it — contact us.

8.2 Supervision.

Do not leave a pet unattended with a new harness, playpen, bed, toy or carrier until you are satisfied it is safe and correctly fitted. Not every product suits every animal.

8.3 Chewing and wear.

Inspect gear regularly. Discard and replace anything that is frayed, cracked, chewed or has a damaged clip. No pet product is indestructible.

8.4 Cooling, calming and repellent products.

These are comfort and repellent aids, not veterinary treatments. They are not a substitute for advice from your vet, and they are not intended to treat, cure or prevent any disease. Always read the product label. Speak to your vet before using any such product on a pregnant, nursing, very young or unwell animal, or alongside medication or another flea product.

We are not a veterinary service. If your pet is unwell, contact your vet.

9. Website use and intellectual property

9.1 Content.

The text, photographs, logos, layout and code on this site are owned by us or used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or republish them for commercial purposes without our written consent. You may print or save pages for your own personal use.

9.2 Acceptable use.

Do not use this site to break any law, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, scrape it at volume, or submit false or misleading information.

9.3 Third-party links.

Where we link to other sites, we do not control their content and are not responsible for it.

9.4 Reviews and submissions.

If you send us a review, photo or comment, you give us permission to publish it on our site and social channels alongside your first name and state if you provide them. We will not publish your full name, email or address. We may edit for length or clarity.

10. Liability

10.1

Nothing in this clause limits your rights under the ACL, or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10.2

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from your own misuse, incorrect fitting or failure to follow product instructions.

10.3

Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to replacing the goods, supplying equivalent goods, or refunding the price paid.

10.4

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any single order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.

11. Privacy

Our handling of your personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy. It covers what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to access or correct your information.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The "last updated" date at the top will change when we make a revision.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of 【州,例如 New South Wales】 and the Commonwealth of Australia. You and we submit to the jurisdiction of the courts of that state.
